Scope of Practice: Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues with the intent of promoting well being and good health. To be a Certified Massage Therapist means one who can legally apply such manipulation professionally. Certain massage modalities require further education and certification to be practiced. A therapist cannot diagnose or prescribe nor should massage be treated as substitute for medical care. Massage therapy is a non-sexual treatment.
In-home massage: When scheduling an in-home appointment please be sure that you are at your house at least 20 minutes before your appointment to accommodate for set up and take down of the massage equipment.
Cancellation: please give at least 24 hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment so that the vacant time slot can be filled. If you do not contact the therapist and do not arrive to your appointment on multiple and frequent occasions you will be dropped as a client.
Right to refusal: Both client and therapist have the right to end the session at any time.
